【ヒースローでぼったくり！？🤣】ロンドン最終日に学んだ「事前準備の大切さ」🇬🇧

ロンドン最終日🇬🇧✨

大好きだったワークソップに住む友達ともお別れをして、最後の夜を過ごすため、ヒースロー近くのホテルへ戻ってきました🥺✈️

…が！！！

この日、まさかのトラブル発生🤣💦

本当はちゃんと事前予約してタクシーに乗ればよかったのですが、ちょっと横着してしまって😂

ヒースロー空港のタクシー乗り場から直接タクシーに乗車。

「シェラトン・ヒースローホテルまでお願いします😊」

と伝えたところ、女性ドライバーさんが

「OK！」

と言ってくれたので安心していたのですが…

なんと！！！

連れて行かれたのは、まったく別のシェラトン😱💦

その名も、

「シェラトン・スカイライン・ホテル・ロンドン・ヒースロー」😂

しかも空港からかなり遠い方のホテルで、到着後に

「はい、着いたわよ〜😊」

と言われたものの…

いやいやいやいや！！！🤣

Booking.comで見ていたホテル写真と全然違う！！！！

「あの…ここじゃなくて、もう一つシェラトンありますよね！？ 最初に名前言いましたよね！？ シェラトン・ヒースローホテルです！！！」

と伝えると、

「あ〜、そっちだったのね！ごめんごめん😂」

と超軽い感じ（笑）

その時点で、すでに料金は35ポンド超え💸💸💸

するとドライバーさん、

「まあ35ポンドでいいわよ。それ以上は上げないから😊」

とのこと。

いやいや待って🤣

本来なら25ポンドくらいで着いてた距離じゃない！？！？

「35ポンドはちょっとおかしいと思うんだけど…🥺💦」

と伝えたところ、30ポンドになりました…

…とはいえ、やっぱり高い🤣💸

でもこちらも土地勘ゼロ🥲

完全に確認不足だった私も悪いので、そのままお願いすることに。

結局、かなり車を走らせて、無事に本来のホテルへ到着🚕💨

“ロンドン最後の洗礼”を受けた気分

Uberで予約するべきでした🥺

実は、ちゃんとUberのアプリをダウンロードして準備してたんです！！！

…なのに🤣

「まあ空港ならそのままタクシーでいいか〜」

と油断した結果、こんなことに😂💦

もう本当に悔しいーーー😭😭😭

ホテルに到着してフロントスタッフに事情を話したところ、

「それは高かったわね〜💦 😅」

と言われてしまいました🤣

もう支払いも終わってしまっていたので、どうにもできず…。

翌朝、早朝便でヒースロー空港へ向かわなければならなかったので、

「明日はどうやって空港へ行けばいい？🥺」

とフロントに相談。

すると、シェラトンには専用のタッチパネルがあり、そこで送迎サービスを予約できるシステムになっていました😳✨

しかも選べるのが、

🚌 みんなで乗り合いするミニバス

🚕 プライベートのキャブ（タクシー）

の2種類！！！

もちろん私は、乗り合いミニバスを選択🤣✨

たったの9ポンドで利用できて、前日の30ポンド事件がさらに悲しくなるレベル😂💸

翌朝は無事にホテルからヒースロー空港まで移動することができました🥹✨

そして今回、最後に

もう一つ気づいたことがありました。

それは…

「そもそも、ヒースロー近くのホテルを予約する必要、なかったのでは…？🤯」

ということ🤣🤣🤣

私が昔イギリスに来ていた頃とは違って、

今はヒースロー・エクスプレスがある🚆✨

これが本当に便利！！！

ロンドン市内のパディントン駅まで、たった15分😳✨

しかも料金も思ったより安い！！！

さらに地下鉄でも30分くらいあれば市内まで行けちゃう🚇

つまり…

もうわざわざヒースロー周辺のホテルに泊まる必要がない🤣💦

実際、ヒースロー周辺って、営業していないホテルが結構あったんですよね。

「あれ？なんでこんなに閉まってるんだろう🤔」

と思っていたのですが、今になって理由が分かりました😂

だって、ロンドン市内まですぐ行けちゃうんだもん！！！

高いタクシー代を払って、しかもぼったくられながら、わざわざ空港近くに泊まるメリットはない！

もう本当に、

「バカバカバカー！！！🤣🤣🤣」

って、自分に言いたくなった（笑）

今回の旅で、たくさん勉強になりました✈️✨

次回は、もっと頭を使って🤣

🇬🇧 My Final Day in London… and My Heathrow Taxi Disaster 😂✈️

On my last day in London, I said goodbye to my dear friends living in Worksop and headed back to a hotel near Heathrow Airport for my final night in the UK 🥺✨

…And that’s where the trouble began 😂💦

To be honest, I should have booked a taxi properly in advance.

I had even downloaded the Uber app before my trip because I’d watched Japanese YouTuber Ryuu Crew, a Kansai-style former cabin crew creator, always using Uber overseas ✈️

But for some reason, I thought:

“Eh, it’s Heathrow Airport. I’ll just grab a taxi there. It’ll be fine.” 🤣

Big mistake 😂💸

I went straight to the taxi rank at Heathrow and told the female driver:

“Sheraton Heathrow Hotel, please 😊”

She replied:

“OK!”

So I relaxed and trusted everything was fine…

Until we arrived 😱

The driver had taken me to a completely different hotel:

“Sheraton Skyline Hotel London Heathrow” 😂

When we arrived, she happily said:

“Here we are 😊”

But immediately I knew something was wrong.

The building looked NOTHING like the photos on Booking.com 🤣💦

So I said:

“Wait wait wait!!! This isn’t the right one! There’s another Sheraton, right? I said Sheraton Heathrow Hotel!”

And she casually replied:

“Ohhh, THAT one? Sorry 😂”

At that point, the fare had already gone over £35 💸💸💸

Then she said:

“Well… I’ll keep it at £35. I won’t charge you more 😊”

And I was like…

“Hang on a second 🤣”

I honestly felt the correct ride should have been around £25 or so 🥲

So I told her:

“£35 sounds a bit too expensive…🥺💦”

After some discussion, she finally lowered it to £30 😂

Still expensive though 🤣💸

But honestly, I was unfamiliar with the area, and I should have checked more carefully myself, so I just accepted it and continued to the correct hotel.

Eventually, after driving around quite a bit more, I finally arrived at the real hotel 🚕💨

It truly felt like London gave me one final “lesson” before I left 😂

When I explained everything to the hotel staff, they immediately said:

“Oof… yeah, that was expensive. You got unlucky there 😅”

But since I had already paid, there wasn’t much I could do anymore 😂

The next morning, I had an early flight from Heathrow, so I asked the front desk:

“How should I get to the airport tomorrow? 🥺”

And surprisingly, the hotel had a touchscreen booking system inside the lobby 😳✨

You could choose between:

🚌 A shared shuttle minibus

🚕 A private taxi

Of course, after the previous night’s disaster, I immediately chose the shared shuttle bus 🤣✨

And guess how much it cost?

Only £9 😂💸

That somehow made the previous £30 taxi mistake feel even more painful 🤣

Thankfully, the shuttle worked perfectly, and I safely arrived at Heathrow the next morning 🥹✈️

But the biggest realization came afterward…

I suddenly thought:

“Wait… did I even need to stay near Heathrow in the first place? 🤯”

Back when I used to visit the UK years ago, things were different.

But now, Heathrow Express exists 🚆✨

You can get from Heathrow to Paddington Station in central London in only about 15 minutes 😳

Even the Underground only takes around 30 minutes or so.

Which means…

There’s honestly not much reason anymore to stay at an airport hotel near Heathrow 😂💦

And then I realized something else.

Around Heathrow, I saw several hotels that looked closed or abandoned.

At first I wondered:

“Why are so many hotels shutting down? 🤔”

Now I understand.

Because London is SO easy to access from Heathrow these days 😂

Why stay near the airport, pay expensive taxi fares, and risk getting ripped off, when central London is so close? 🥲

Honestly, I kept thinking:

“You idiottttt 🤣🤣🤣”

But well…

That’s part of travel too ✈️✨

This trip taught me a very important lesson:

Prepare properly.

Research properly.

And always book your transport in advance 😂

Next time I visit London, I’m definitely going to travel smarter 🥹🇬🇧✨
